Dear Adjunct Faculty Members,

We are excited to announce that the Student Success Initiative as outlined in the AFA contract (3.10.E [p. 18]) is now open for submission!  We have a pool of 12 LHEs designated for leadership and/or participation in student success initiatives or initiatives that support the College’s strategic goals. The following initiatives have been determined jointly by AFA and the College and are eligible for consideration.

If you are interested in pursuing one of these initiatives for the fall, spring and/or summer terms of the 2024-2025 academic year, please complete the application by Friday, March 29, 2024. Priority will be given to proposers that have not been awarded LHEs through this program. The maximum LHEs per person per project is 2 LHE.

All applicants must receive chairperson/coordinator and dean approval prior to submission of the application. The application asks applicants to confirm these discussions. Prior to awarding of LHEs, these discussions will be confirmed by the committee members.

The Student Success Initiative Committee, composed of adjunct faculty and an administrator, will review applications and respond by April 26, 2024 to applicants. The decision of the committee may be appealed to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.
